We left Singapore on the 1st July evening flight... From Singapore transit to Thailand, then to London... Didnt get to explore the airport as Winfield's Aunty Ping and her hubby Uncle Noel came to pick us up at the airport...
Went straight to their home and had English breakfast... Bacon, eggs, sausages, bread and baked beans... At about 1200 hrs London time, we went to take a tube to change to another train(Eurostar) to Paris... We reached Paris and took the metro to our service apartment... Spent 4 nights there... There was a supermarket nearby where we stayed and our daily bfasts & dinners came from there... The area wasnt really safe at nite as there are always a group of youngsters loitering downstairs and heavy police patrol...
Cut short all my stories, below is the itinerary...
Day 1 in Paris - Checking in service apartment. Wifi have to pay...
Day 2 in Paris - Went to see Eiffel Tower & took the Batobus around for sightseeing. Went to a museum to see see look look before going to the Champ-Elysee for shopping.
Day 3 in Paris - Went to the famous Lafayette to walk walk, Royal Gardens & to the Palais Royale(Musee du Louvre) to see Mona Lisa painting and many others paintings...
Day 4 in Paris - Went to Summer Palace Versailies for the whole day... Wanna go for evening mass wheras ah kor will join Janice & gang to go up the Eiffel Tower... The SNCF train was not in service when we reached the station and was told to walk to the next station... Rush down for mass but missed the English one as there was an accident involving humans on the track... We got delayed for about an hour while we changed to metro halfway.... Eventually, we didnt attend mass as it was in French and we have to rush back to the supermarket to buy dinner and next day's bfast...
Day 5-7 in Paris - Travelled to Disneyland, staying in Sequoia Lodge... Lotsa photos and most of our Euro$ spent on buying gifts.... Begin to hate eating bread and ham... Wifi super EXP!!!
Day 8 - Travel from Disney to London via Eurostar to Glasgow via Calendonian Sleeper... Real small rooms... There's a basin in every room... For us to wash up when we woke up...
Day 9 in Glasgow - Pick up car, check in hotel & depart for Edinburgh...
Day 10 in Glasgow - Graduation Day for Winfield and ah kor...
Day 11 in Glasgow - Went shopping in the City Centre... Spent more $$$....
Day 12 in Glasgow - KK had LS, so didnt join us for the Fort William trip... I became the navigator for the day... Took a cable car and went to climb a mountain... Super COLD there... Returned car at nite...
Day 13 in London - Went back to London... Had free wireless on board the train... Blogged earlier, please refer below if you had yet to read... Went Madame Tussauds then came back to blog some more... Lol... Free wireless here...
Planned itinerary for next few days....
Day 14 in London - Going to see stones... So call FAMOUS.... A tour around Winchester...
Day 15 in London - Suppose to go Buckingham Palace, then to the London Eye... Then shopping at Oxford Street...
Day 16 - HOME SWEET HOME!!! Cant wait to come back to Singapore... Miss all of you... Muacks...
